EDUCATION:
– Currently in final year of graduate degree in Product Design, Faculty of Design and Arts, Iuav University of Venice, specialising in Interaction Design
– 2010 Undergraduate degree in Product Design, cum laude, at Politecnico di Bari.
– 2006 Science Education High School, Bitetto (Bari), specialising in information science.
– I start my Masters thesis project in September 2012 and will be available for full-time internships from mid-May 2012.
STRENGTHS:
From the beginning my approach to designing is problem-solving. I belive interaction design can help people and improve their live in little as well as big ways.
I approach my working through ideas generation, user research, interviews and developing scenarios. I like to work in a team because each person has a new view, and the project develops by comparing different thoughts.
I am strong at brainstorming and concept generation, and the design development phase and I’m a good project manager. I am especially interested in physical prototyping using Arduino and Processing. Currently my main interests is the interaction design of installations and products, so I’m looking forward to new opportunities to improve my knowledge of these topics.
SKILLS:
– Strong in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; good in Premiere and After Effects.
– Strong in 3D and 2D CAD software: Rhinoceros (V-Ray render engine), AutoCAD.
– Good in product prototyping and electronics assembly.
– Good in creative code: C++, Processing, Arduino.
– Basic in generative 3D modelling: Grasshopper.

PORTFOLIO
This application is for workers who, suffering an injustice, wish to share their outrage amongst themselves and express it to the outside world. This service helps workers to organize themselves, create a big and enjoyable event, and automatically get the result numbers. It creates something that is impossible not to hear.(team project)
Lullaby is an interactive quilt that allows a parent and a child, separated by distance, to share bedtime together. A silent and visual lullaby is created by simple patterns of light produced when the quilt is caressed. In this ritual the child and the parent feel each other’s presence in an intimate moment that otherwise would be lost.(team project)
Save Poul, a Processing minigame
This game, developed in Processing, uses the microphone input to help a fish, Poul, to reach the sea. Blow up a bubble, speak to avoid a cat and reach the window, and finally scream to burst the bubble and liberate Poul. (team project)
Silence Please, an interactive green barrier for your privacy
Silence Please is a green, interactive barrier designed to create privacy and provide the advantages of plants in chaotic environments, both public and private. Made of two elements, one for the base and one for the panel, and all managed by Arduino, Silence Please becomes active when its sound and light sensors detect noise. (team project)
